The Story Behind Avira
It started in our kitchen. For the last 10 years, my mom has been making her own hair oil at home. Not because she planned to start a business. Not because she wanted to create a brand. She simply wanted to know exactly what she was putting on her children. That’s just who she is. If she can make it herself, she probably will. She bakes her own bread. She makes things from scratch. She experiments in the kitchen. And when it came to something as personal as hair care, she never really trusted a bottle off a shelf.
So she made her own. She started experimenting with herbs, flowers and nourishing oils, carefully putting together a blend that became a regular part of our family’s hair-care routine. And this wasn’t a recipe she made once and forgot about. For 10 years, she kept making it. Batch after batch. Year after year.
What started as something she made for her children slowly became something friends and family wanted to try too. People would ask: “What do you put in this?” “Can you make some for me?” “Why don’t you sell this?” For years, the answer was simply: “It’s just something I make at home.”
Until one day, we thought, Why should something this loved stay inside our kitchen? And that’s how Avira was born. We didn’t start with a factory, a big team or a business plan. We started with Mom’s kitchen, her obsession with making things herself, and a hair oil she had been making for the people she loved for a decade.
Today, we’re taking that little kitchen ritual and sharing it with you. The philosophy hasn’t changed. Know what goes in. Make it with care. Keep it simple. Avira is our way of bringing a little piece of Mom’s hair-care ritual into yours. Made by Mom. Inspired by tradition. Made to be part of your ritual. Welcome to Avira. ❤️
